He managed commercial, corporate and residential rental properties that were held in retirement accounts as investments while working in corporate banking from 1992 until 2001. He worked closely with his family in Colorado Springs and spent 2 years as an Associate Broker, handling properties in the Denver Metro area. On August 1, 2009, Darron and Colleen Dowda started their own property management company, Westie Realty LLC, focusing on managing residential and commercial rental properties in the Denver Metro area.
Westie Realty managed commercial properties at Parker and Yale, South Chambers, East Evans and South Broadway from 2007 until October 2011. Westie Realty's residential portfolio includes single family homes, townhomes, and condominiums in the greater Denver metropolitan area. Westie Realty is a transaction broker representing both the owner and the tenant, and strives to ensure that both the owner and the tenant have quality experiences and receive excellent customer service. Darron Dowda has been a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), the Colorado Board of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors since 2007. He has also been a contributor to the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies Division of Real Estate 2011 Colorado Real Estate Manual. Darron has participated in local, regional, and national events for NARPM, and has served on the local NARPM board as the Certification Chair.
